Identity & Belonging

We can learn every rule of a place and still feel like visitors. Belonging begins when we are no longer the only ones trying to close the distance.

The same person can sound confident in one language and hesitant in another. Living between languages taught me that identity is larger than the words we are able to express.

Speaking another language is not only about finding the right words. It taught me how easily intention can become interpretation, and why understanding often requires effort from both sides.

Returning to the place where our story began does not always feel like coming home. I learned that belonging is less about geography and more about where who we have become is allowed to stay.
