Before Confidence Arrives
Courage rarely begins with certainty. More often, it begins when fear is still present, the outcome is still unclear, and we decide that uncertainty will not make the decision for us.

We often imagine courage as a feeling of strength.
But many important decisions do not feel strong when we make them. They feel uncomfortable, unfinished and uncertain.
We may still be afraid of rejection, failure, disappointment or change. We may still wish someone could tell us exactly what will happen next.
Courage does not require those feelings to disappear.
Sometimes it is simply the moment when we stop waiting for fear to give us permission.
That does not mean acting recklessly or ignoring consequences. It means accepting that certainty is not always available before a meaningful decision has to be made.
Confidence often comes later, after we have already moved.
Courage is what carries us through the distance between knowing what matters and finally trusting ourselves enough to act on it.
